Movies For A Year Rules

OFFICIAL RULES for the Carmike Beverly 13 “Movie Passes For a Year” Contest:

  1. To enter and participate, listeners must text the keyword “Carmike” to 77000 between approximately 6am Monday, October 21 and 5pm, Friday, November 1, 2013.
  2. Listeners can only text and enter the contest once for the duration of the entry period.
  3. The winner will be randomly determined using the Marketron/MSnap mobile texting platform random winner selection tool on November 1, 2013. The winner will be contacted on that date by telephone.  Prize will be awarded on or before November 15, 2013.
  4. The prize to be awarded will be 104 individual passes for free movies at the Carmike Beverly 13 Cinemas in Champaign, Illinois.  Each pass will entitle the holder to one free movie, currently playing at the venue.  Some restrictions may apply – including but not limited to, new, first-run features and movies playing in the theatre’s “Big-D” format.  All pass restrictions will be determines solely by the management and staff of The Carmike Beverly 13 Cinemas.
  5. The approximate value of the prize is $936.00.
  6. All entrants must be at least 18 years of age or older at time of entry to be eligible for this contest. This contest is void where prohibited by law.
  7. No purchase necessary. One valid entry per contestant.
  8. The Illini Radio Group reserves the right to disqualify any text entrant in its sole discretion and/or use another means to determine a winner.
  9. Winner will be notified by telephone. If the station is unable to contact the winner after seven (7) business days, or if that winner is unavailable for prize fulfillment, an alternate winner will be selected.  If an eligible winner cannot be found for the prize, the prize will not be awarded.  The Illini Radio Group reserves the right to substitute any prize with another prize of equal or greater value.
  10. Odds of winning depend on the number of eligible entries received.
  11. Contests on all stations of the Illini Radio Group are open to all eligible Illinois residents, 18 or older who have not won anything on the station in the past 30 days or any prize valued at $600 or more in the past 6 months.
  12. Only one winner per household is permitted within 30 days after a household has a winner. Any prize awarded to an ineligible listener will be deemed null and void, and an alternate eligible winner may be named.
  13. Employees of The Illini Radio Group, and its ultimate parent company, Saga Communications, Inc., its subsidiaries their advertising agencies, affiliates, contest sponsors, employees and immediate families of each, and employees of all media of mass communication within a one hundred mile radius of the Illini Radio Goup main studios are not eligible to win any contest.  Immediate family includes the spouse, great-grandparents, grandparents, parents, brothers, sisters, children, grandchildren, and great-grandchildren of the employee and his/her spouse. This also includes individuals for whom the employee is current legal guardian.
  14. Contest entrants agree to abide by the terms of these Official Rules and by the decisions of Illini Radio Group management, which are final on all matters pertaining to this contest.
  15. Entrants further grant to The Illini Radio Group the right to use and publish their proper name and their city and state of residence online and in print, or any other media, in connection with this contest.
  16. The Illini Radio Group reserves the right to use any and all information related to the contest, including information on contestants obtained through the contest, for marketing purposes or any other purpose, unless prohibited by law.
  17. Each winner, by acceptance of the prize, agrees to release all Sponsors, and their parent and subsidiary companies, their officers, directors, employees, agents, shareholders, affiliates, suppliers, distributors, and advertising agencies from all liability, claims, or actions of any kind whatsoever for injuries, damages, or losses to persons and property which may be sustained in connection with the receipt, ownership, or use of the prize.
  18. The Illini Radio Group is not responsible for delays, interruptions of service or slowdowns caused by cellular networks or texting aggregator systems, telephone systems, network congestion, viruses, sabotage, satellite failures, phone line failures, electrical outages, natural disasters or acts of man or God.
  19. Each winner is responsible for all federal, state and local taxes and may be required to complete an IRS 1099 form.  The Illini Radio Group reserves the right to withhold prizes until completed forms are received.
  20. Illini Radio Group management reserves the right to change these rules at any time.
