Waiting for LEGO
Waiting for LEGO

So, The LEGO movie is coming out next month, and honestly, I’m kind of jazzed about it.  I’ve been a LEGO fan, well, since I can remember.  When I was younger, we didn’t get the LEGO “sets”.   We had the box of LEGO that were just a bunch of different pieces and we built what we wanted.  One of the things I always built was guns.  I tried to make Star Wars lazer guns all the time.  Han Solo’s gun was a favorite build of mine.  I also tried to make the gun from Logan’s Run.  Remember that?  Logan’s Run?

Anyway, when I saw this video, I had flash backs to building all kinds of LEGO weaponry.  While I built two handed rifles, I never had a cool pump action one like this dude.  Anyway, check it out…

And in case you’re jonesin’ for the real thing, here’s a taste of The LEGO Movie…

Celebrate safely with these fireworks tips

Since Independence Day falls during the work week, members of St. Richard Catholic Church celebrated the holiday on Sunday, June 30, 2013, with a picnic-style outing complete with fireworks that could be seen throughout the northeast Jackson, Miss. neighborhood.
