Champaign Fire Department responds to vehicle fire near home

CHAMPAIGN, IL (Chambana Today) – The Champaign Fire Department quickly responded to a vehicle fire next to a home in the 500 block of Harris Ave. at 3:49 p.m. on Monday. Fire crews arrived to find a fully involved vehicle fire next to a single-family home.

Firefighters acted swiftly, deploying a single hose line to extinguish the flames. Thanks to their quick response, the fire was contained and did not extend to the house.

The cause of the fire remains under investigation, as fire investigators continue to assess the scene. No injuries to firefighters were reported.
