This week’s brew was an impulse buy: I liked the fact it was in a can, I liked the name, and I was intrigued by the combination of a porter with Chai Tea. We drank Yabba Dhaba Chai Tea Porter from James Page Brewery.
Shane and Ryan were both a bit scared of the Chai Tea beer. But once we drank it they were rather surprised. This beer comes off with some nice ginger spices up front with a hint of cinnamon. The tea gives it a nice clean finish without being sweet. And after a bit, a hint of vanilla starts to make itself known. It has a crisp mouth feel, there’s very little carbonation and very little after taste. This was a surprisingly good beer.

Shane ended up pairing this up with a new sandwich combo. Sausage sandwich, topped with Italian beef, and BBQ sauce. This is a winning combo.
