It’s a special day on On Tap: Cider Fest! We haven’t really delved into the world of ciders but it’s gaining some momentum out and about so I thought we’d test drive a few.
We kick things off with Pineapple Hula from the CiderBoys. This was definitely the sweetest of the ciders we tried today. I kind of dug it. I thought the pineapple came through without being over bearing and made for a really drinkable cider. I couldn’t do more than one, but I did like it. The rest of the crew were ok with it as well.
So overall, not too bad. But the day is young. Shane paired this up with what turned out to be a really good combo for all our ciders, the pork chop sandwich. Very simple; grilled pork chop, bbq on the side, that’s it. You can church it up if you want, but I didn’t think it was necessary.
