On Tap

On Tap is brought to you by Rosati’s Pizza, 701 S. Gregory in Urbana.  Call 217-328-2334 to have anything on their menu delivered.

I like my hefeweizens.  Where as Matt likes the bitterness of IPA’s, I like the sourness of hefeweizens.  Schofferhofer is a solid hefeweizen.  It’s not too sour, but it does have that nice, clean taste you get from these beers.  There’s that sweet hint of banana in the aroma and it goes down smooth and clean.  I liked it.  Matt and I both give it a 7.5.  I would have bumped that up to an 8 if it were just a bit more sour actually, but overall, a solid beer.  We put a little lemon in it, but you could do an orange slice, or just go without all together, your call.

Shane likes the idea of having some Rosati’s Chicken Fettuccine Alfredo delivered to pair up with this and I like it.  The richness of the alfredo would be countered nicely with the crispness of the hefeweizen.  That would make a nice little combo.  You go grab some Schofferhofer, and call Rosati’s to have some Chicken Fettuccine Alfredo delivered from Rosati’s.
