Winter Beer Extravaganza: Part 3

Round three of our big Winter Beer Extravaganza brought us a Seriously Bad Elf and a Peculiar Yule.

Here’s how things break down ratings wise:

Seriously Bad Elf gets some middle of the road marks.  It’s not a bad beer, it didn’t just leap out at any of us.  Shane gave it a 4, while Ryan and I both gave it a 5.  Shane was more disappointed than we were, but hey, you might give this one an 8.  Who knows.

Peculiar Yule however was a bit more varied in ratings.  Shane and I were pretty close with my 6.0 and his 6.5.  We both liked it because it was our first “spiced” holiday beer and it was done really well.  Not too much spice going on, but it’s high alcohol content gave it a warmth you find in other beers.  Ryan dug that part of it and it earned an 8.5 from him.
