WATCH: Roof Rescue 2019

Photo: Rewind 92.5

This year for the Rewind Roof Rescue, we received more nominations than we ever have before. We got well over 200 stories and all of them touched us in one way or another.

We read every single one, and we narrowed down. But one entry from Nathan for his mom, Julie, really caught our eye. So we dropped in on Julie at her job at Hutchcraft Van Service in Urbana to give her the surprise of a lifetime.

Here’s Nathan’s nomination:

The roof on my parents house has been in trouble for a few years now. Just a few days ago we found out my dad had a brain tumor. While operating on the tumor there was a complication which resulted in a blood clot in the brain which had left him paralyzed on the right side and hardly able to talk. With this news my parents have not been able to work and have the money to fix their roof. I think this would help them and give them one less thing to worry about in this hard time for our family

Thanks to Cord and his team at Bash Pepper Roofing, Julie’s roof is getting fixed ASAP!

Congrats, Nathan, Julie, and the entire family. We hope this brightens up what has been a very tough time.
