CHICAGO, Ill. (Chambana Today) — The Illinois Lottery is urging players to comb through their wallets, drawers, and glove compartments as time runs out to claim a $200,000 unclaimed Powerball prize. The winning ticket, sold nearly a year ago in Dolton, is set to expire in just two weeks, lottery officials announced Monday.

The ticket was purchased at the Citgo gas station at 44 E. Sibley Boulevard for the November 30, 2024 Powerball drawing. Unless the winner comes forward soon, the sizeable prize will go unclaimed.

This missing ticket is one of three unclaimed Powerball prizes in Illinois nearing expiration. The Illinois Lottery encourages anyone who played that drawing to “search high and low” before the deadline passes.

Winners have one year from the draw date to claim their prize. Officials advise the ticket holder—if found—to sign the back immediately and keep it stored safely until claiming.
