CHAMPAIGN, Ill. (Chambana Today) — Carle Health announced that its Convenient Care Plus location at Carle Foundation Hospital will relocate to the Carle Urbana South Clinic building on the hospital’s campus this weekend.

The move takes effect Saturday, November 15, when the clinic reopens at 601 West University Avenue in Urbana. To accommodate the transition, services at the current location will end at 10 p.m. Thursday, November 13, and the clinic will remain closed Friday, November 14 before reopening at 7 a.m. Saturday in its new space.

Carle officials said the relocation is part of an ongoing effort to improve access to care and expand one of the busiest emergency departments in the state.

The new Convenient Care Plus space in the South Clinic will provide additional room for patient care and accommodate higher demand for urgent services. The clinic will continue its established hours, 7 a.m. to 10 p.m. daily, and patients can park in the South Garage on McCullough Avenue.

Carle’s Convenient Care Plus offers walk-in and online-scheduled appointments for common conditions such as cold and flu symptoms, earaches, sprains, minor injuries, and illnesses that may require imaging or lab testing.

Alternative Convenient Care locations will remain open at Carle Champaign on Curtis and Carle Urbana on Windsor for patients needing services during the transition.
