CHAMPAIGN, Ill. (Chambana Today) — In an effort to encourage residents and visitors to frequent businesses in downtown Champaign this holiday season, the City of Champaign is offering up to two hours of free parking in the Hill Street Parking Deck during the month of December.

The city is encouraging visitors to support Champaign’s local businesses and restaurants, and reminds you to check ahead to see if where you are heading has any altered schedules or limited capacities due to the holidays.

There is no need to provide proof of purchase at the parking deck for the discount, and parking at the deck and at metered spaces is always free on city holidays, Saturdays, and Sundays.

The Hill Street Parking Deck is owned by the city, and is located at the corner of Hill and Randolph Streets and has over 300 visitor parking spaces. More information about the Hill Street Parking Deck is available on the City’s website at champaignil.gov/parking.
