DANVILLE, IL (Chambana Today) — A 24-year-old Danville man has been arrested following a reported stabbing Tuesday morning.

According to the Danville Police Department, officers were dispatched at approximately 9:57 a.m. to the area of North Bowman Avenue and East Voorhees Street for a report of a stabbing involving a 38-year-old male.

Police learned the victim was being transported by personal vehicle to OSF Sacred Heart Medical Center. Officers responded to the hospital, where they met with the victim and began an investigation.

Preliminary findings determined the stabbing occurred in the 1100 block of Saratoga Street. Officers identified Anthony Turner, 24, of Danville, as a suspect.

At approximately 12:08 p.m., Turner was located in the 300 block of West English Street and taken into custody without incident. He was transported to the Danville Public Safety Building and is being held on preliminary charges of aggravated battery and aggravated domestic battery.
