URBANA, IL (Chambana Today) — The Urbana Park District is inviting residents of all ages to come together in celebration of the planet at its annual “Earth Day for Everyone” event on April 18. The free community gathering will take place from 1 to 4 p.m. at Crystal Lake Park.

Organizers say the event is designed to be inclusive, family-friendly, and focused on fostering environmental awareness while bringing the community together. Attendees can enjoy a variety of activities, including live music by Anika Emily, recycled art projects, face painting, and bubble play for children.

In addition to entertainment, the event will feature guided hikes scheduled throughout the afternoon at 1:30, 2:30, and 3:15 p.m., offering participants a chance to explore the natural beauty of the park. Food trucks will also be on-site, and visitors will have opportunities to take part in beautification projects aimed at enhancing the park environment.

The park district is also encouraging attendees to make their trip more eco-friendly by riding their bikes to the event.

“Earth Day for Everyone” continues to serve as a celebration of community and environmental stewardship. For more information, community members can contact the Urbana Park District at (217) 384-4062.
