URBANA, IL (Chambana Today) — The 22nd Annual Festival of Quilts is officially underway, welcoming visitors to a colorful showcase of craftsmanship, community, and tradition.

Held at the Spiritual Life Center, 1301 N. Cunningham Avenue, the event opened its doors with a wide array of handmade quilts available for purchase both in person and online. Organizers say the hybrid shopping option allows more people than ever to take part in the annual tradition.

Guests attending the festival can browse an extensive collection of quilts, each reflecting detailed artistry and care. In addition to the quilt displays, attendees can explore the Gift Shop and “Centerpieces & Such” rooms, which feature a variety of unique items.

The festival also includes a popular bake sale, offering a selection of homemade treats that have become a staple of the event.

Organizers say the festival aims to provide a welcoming and lively atmosphere for visitors of all ages, encouraging the community to come together in support of the event and its offerings.

The Festival of Quilts runs until 5 p.m. today and continues tomorrow from 9 a.m. to 2 p.m. Organizers encourage those unable to attend in person to browse and purchase quilts online through the event’s website.
