Free event in Monticello to help residents make the most of charitable giving

MONTICELLO, IL (Chambana Today) — The Community Foundation of East Central Illinois will host a free educational event on planned giving next month in Piatt County.

“Stewardship for the Future: A Planned Giving Conversation” is scheduled for Thursday, April 23 from 10 a.m. to noon at Christ Lutheran Church in Monticello. The event is open to community members, donors, nonprofit leaders, board members and members of local congregations.

The morning will feature a 45-minute presentation by Shari Fox of Fox Philanthropic Advisors on charitable giving strategies, including ways to maximize tax benefits and community impact beyond traditional check or credit card donations. Time for open conversation and light refreshments will follow.

Registration is required by April 21 at tinyurl.com/PiattCountyStewardship.
