Illinois women’s basketball announces 2025-26 promotions schedule

CHAMPAIGN, Ill. (Chambana Today) – Illinois Athletics has unveiled its full promotional schedule for the 2025-26 Fighting Illini women’s basketball season, which promises to bring plenty of excitement to the State Farm Center. The season kicks off with an exhibition game against Maryville on Thursday, October 30, at 6 p.m. CT, setting the stage for a season filled with fan-friendly events, ticket deals, and themed nights.

Exciting Promotions for Fans
This year’s promotions include a mix of classic favorites and new events designed to engage fans of all ages. Highlights include the Halloween Game on October 30, where kids 12 and under who arrive in costume will receive free general admission. The season will also feature military discounts, family-friendly promotions, and special themed nights like Friendsgiving, Ugly Sweater Day, and TikTok Day.

Notable Events and Giveaways
Key events throughout the season include the annual Field Trip Day on November 18, sponsored by Busey Bank, offering free admission to school groups along with pregame activities. On January 1, fans are invited to Pack the House for a New Year’s celebration, featuring giveaways like a champagne flute and postgame autographs from the team. Other exciting giveaways include Orange Illinois script shirts for the Hail to the Orange Out on January 28 and free tickets for kids under 12 on Illinois Watches Women’s Sports Day on March 1.

Special Themed Nights
Several themed games will celebrate important causes and cultures. The Play4Kay Pink Game on February 8 will raise awareness and funds for cancer research affecting women. Meanwhile, International & K-Pop Game on February 11 will spotlight the diversity of Illinois’ international student-athletes, alongside a fun K-pop experience. For fans who love social media, TikTok Day on February 17 will feature a halftime dance competition.
