Neighborhood leaders to be honored at engagement celebration in Champaign

CHAMPAIGN, Ill. (Chambana Today) — Neighborhood leaders will be recognized for their community involvement during the Neighborhood Leaders Engagement Celebration reception on Thursday, November 13, from 5:00 to 5:30 p.m. in the City Building Lobby, 102 N. Neil Street in Champaign.

The event, hosted by the City’s Neighborhood Services Department, will bring together members of the Neighborhood Services Advisory Board and community partners to celebrate local engagement efforts and neighborhood accomplishments from the past year.

Immediately following the reception, the Neighborhood Services Advisory Board will hold its regular meeting at 5:30 p.m. in the City Council Chambers. The meeting agenda includes a 2025 Neighborhood Engagement Recap, discussion of the proposed Garwood Neighborhood Residential Exterior Rehab Program, and staff reports from the department.
