CHAMPAIGN, IL (Chambana Today) — In order to make room for construction at 502 South Fifth Street, University Group will close Fifth Street between Springfield Avenue and Healey Street.

The closure will begin on Thursday, April 2, and will reopen on Saturday, May 2. During the closure, through traffic will not be allowed, but access will be maintained to all local properties. A map of the affected area can be seen below.

Please pay close attention to traffic control devices and use alternate routes to avoid the road closure. The City of Champaign thanks you for your cooperation and patience while this work is being performed.
