CHAMPAIGN, IL (Chambana Today) — Registration opens Monday, September 1, for the fall Countywide Residential Electronics Collection (CREC) event, scheduled for Saturday, October 11, 2025, from 8 a.m. to 12 p.m. at Parkland College.

The event is open to all residents of Champaign County, including those living in unincorporated areas. To participate, residents must register in advance at https://ecycle.simplybook.me. The online system allows users to select a 15-minute time slot during the event hours. Once registered, participants will receive confirmation via email and/or text message, followed by a mailed postcard ticket 10–14 days before the event.

Participants are required to enter the Parkland College site via Duncan Road.

There is a limit of four (4) TVs per household and a total limit of seven (7) items per household. A full list of accepted and non-accepted items is available on the registration site.

This event, which will be held rain or shine, is co-sponsored by the City of Champaign, City of Urbana, Champaign County, Champaign County Court & Probation Services, and the Village of Savoy. While severe weather may cause delays, organizers expect wait times to remain minimal.
