Road closures planned near University Avenue Monday for billboard work

CHAMPAIGN, IL (Chambana Today) — Two brief road closures are planned near University Avenue next week to allow for billboard work at 508 and 608 E. University Avenue.

An image of the affected area can be seen below.

Beginning Monday, April 27, Fifth Street between Park Street and University Avenue will be fully closed to through traffic, and the southbound lane of Wright Street between Park Street and University Avenue will also be closed. Northbound traffic on Wright Street will remain open. Local property access will be maintained in both areas.

Both closures are expected to reopen Tuesday, April 28, weather permitting.
