CHAMPAIGN, Ill. (Chambana Today) — Amy Young, the director of nursing at Rosecrance Behavioral Health, was named a Frontline Honoree, as announced via a press release on Wednesday.

Young, is recognized as a leader who is “redefining frontline care and making a lasting impact on patients, families, and communities.” She is widely respected for her compassionate, people-first approach to leadership.

“Amy is the kind of frontline leader who reminds us why we do this work,” said Dr. Raymond Garcia, chief medical officer at Rosecrance Behavioral Health. “Her patients know they matter. Her team knows they’re not alone. And our organization is better because she’s part of it.”

Young has played a pivotal role in expanding access to evidence-based care for individuals facing substance use and psychiatric disorders throughout her tenure at Rosecrance. She helped design and implement the organization’s medication-assisted treatment (MAT) program, which now serves hundreds of clients each year and has contributed to a 28% reduction in relapse rates among participants.

In addition, Young provides leadership for one of northern Illinois’ only medical detox programs for pregnant women, championing high-quality, inclusive care for a population that often encounters stigma and limited treatment options.
