CHAMPAIGN, Ill. (Chambana Today) – A major chapter in Champaign County’s business history is coming to a close. Sullivan-Parkhill Automotive, a cornerstone of the local automotive industry for more than a century, has announced its sale to Sam Leman Automotive Group, another respected name in Illinois auto sales.

Founded in 1923, Sullivan-Parkhill marked its 100th anniversary just last year, celebrating a legacy built on trust, service, and community involvement. “This decision comes with mixed emotions,” said David Parkhill, current owner and member of the family that has led the dealership for decades. “It has been the honor of a lifetime to work alongside our employees, serve our customers, and be part of this community’s story.”

Parkhill expressed deep gratitude to employees and customers who helped shape the dealership’s legacy, calling it a journey defined by relationships, professionalism, and service.
