EAST-CENTRAL, Ill. (Chambana Today) — As Halloween approaches, Central Illinois residents are gearing up for a safe and fun night of trick-or-treating. Several local cities and towns have officially announced their hours for the annual tradition. Below are the details for when and where kids can go door-to-door collecting candy.

  • Champaign County:

    • Trick-or-treating will be held from 6:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. on October 31 in cities such as Champaign, Urbana, Rantoul, Mahomet, and St. Joseph.

  • DeWitt County:

    • Clinton: 5:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. on October 31

  • Douglas County:

    • Arcola: 6:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. on October 31

    • Tuscola: 5:30 p.m. to 7:30 p.m. on October 31

  • Vermilion County:

    • Danville: 5:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. on October 31

  • Ford County:

    • Buckley, Elliott, and Paxton: 5:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. on October 31

    • Gibson City: 5:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. on October 31
