DANVILLE, IL (Chambana Today) — The Danville Police traffic stop that led to two arrests received an update.
During the traffic stop on Saturday, March 29, just before midnight, a third subject was reported in the car. The third subject provided false information to officers and was not cooperative. Further investigation identified him as 19-year-old Quartez C Washington. Washington was wanted on a warrant out of Springfield, MO, for murder charges.
He was then booked and arrested for Obstructing justice and being wanted on an out-of-state warrant. Washington currently resides in custody at the Vermilion County Public Safety Building. The information was not originally released due to ongoing communication with the County and State issuing the warrant.
