Virginia Theatre hosts two events this holiday season

CHAMPAIGN, IL (Chambana Today) – The Virginia Theatre is hosting two events this Christmas season.

On Friday, December 13, at 7:00 p.m., the Virginia Theatre will host the Celebrate Christmas Tour 2024 featuring Natalie Grant and Danny Gokey. Grant is a five-time GMA Female Vocalist of the Year, and Gokey is a Grammy-nominated, Dove Award winner. They will be playing the Christmas classics with tickets priced at $19.95, $30.00, $40.00, $50.00, and $75.00. On Saturday, December 14, at 2:00 p.m., the Virginia Theatre will be hosting a screening of the critically acclaimed animated film, Robot Dreams.

This film is dialogue free and explores the joy and fragility of friendship. Having premiered at the 76th Cannes Film Festival in 2023, Robot Dreams has garnered wide critical acclaim and won Best Independent Animated Feature at the 51st Annie Awards. It was also nominated for Best Animated Feature at the 96th Academy Awards.
