The Scoop for Sept. 5, 2018

Britney Spears wrapped up her Piece of Me Tour last night, and it’s probably a good thing, becasue she forgot where she was… again. Plus, she’s still using that weird not quite British accent. It wasn’t cool when Madonna did it, Britney, it’s not cool now. Go home, rest up. Then head back to Vegas.

Former Cosby Show star Geoffrey Owens got shamed online because he works a regular job at Trader Joe’s. Look, there’s no shame in working for a living. Besides, he gets that Trader Joe’s employee discount, and at their prices, he’s the winner here.

One of the reporters who broke the Watergate scandal back in the day has a new book coming out about the Trump administration, and it sounds like it’s not very flattering. But President Trump actually called him and talked to him about it, and honestly, he doesn’t sound too concerned by it. But I’m sure we’ll get his real feelings when he Tweets.

John Krasinksi has come a long way from The Office. But things weren’t always so bright. As a matter of fact, he was ready to quit acting all together, but his mom told him to stick it out… and three weeks later he landed the Office job. So he says he gives her “All his love and 10%”. John’s mom is awesome. I mean, my mom calls every week asking when I’m going to get a real job… which is why she doesn’t get 10%… any more.

Bonus Scoopage:
NBC and producer Dick Wolf are bringing yet another version of Law & Order to the screen, with this one focusing on hate crimes. They’ve ordered 13 episodes of Law & Order: Hate Crimes, which will be based on New York City’s Hate Crimes Task Force. Because we need one more Law & Order.
