About a month ago, Torey Mattson started The 40 Hot Meal Project. It’s a pretty simple idea; help feed people in need while helping local restaurants. Businesses buy meals from restaurants and donate them to food banks.
In just their first month, businesses have already spent $44,000 and donated over 4,000 meals.
Ric Jackosn decided to use his down time during the pandemic to help others by fixing people’s bikes for free.
Ric started back in April, and so far has fixed over 650 bikes. And the only payment he will accept is baked goods.
We’ve got an awesome update on Sean Currey. Sean was the homeless man who returned a woman’s lost wallet. And people were so touched, they set up a GoFundMe page for Sean, and so far that’s raised around $50,000.
While Sean is using some of the money to find himself better living conditions, he’s using the rest of the money to build shelters for others in need.
