A Little Bit of Awesome: 1/22/19 Editon

There’s an 86-year-old grandmother in St. Louis who’s lost 120 pounds, and her only exercise is a morning walk in her one-bedroom apartment. That’s awesome. So if you’re feeling bad the you haven’t started your New Year weight loss resolution, there’s always time to start. She also went vegan and beat her addiction to alcohol, so it wasn’t just exercise. She started in her seventies, went from a size 22 to a size 4, and still does her morning walk from the kitchen to the living room . . . over and over . . . 3,000 steps a day. A guy with a selfie stick filmed himself walking across the crystal clear ice of Siberia’s Lake Baikal. It’s the deepest, and the largest freshwater lake by volume in the world.
