A Little Bit of Awesome: 11/12/19 Edition

Warner Bros. Pictures has just released the first teaser trailer for the upcoming animated movie Scoob!, which hits theaters on May 15. Zac Efron voices Fred, Amanda Seyfried plays Daphne, Gina Rodriguez stars as Velma, Will Forte portrays Shaggy, and Frank Welker voices the iconic snack-loving dog Scooby.

I”m gonna tell ya now, it’s gonna get dusty in here. Mark Williamson is an offensive lineman for William & Mary University in Virginia. And about three years ago, he signed up to donate bone marrow in case he ever matched with anyone who needed it. It turned out he was a perfect match with an 18-year-old kid in Ohio named Rusty Plemons, who was battling leukemia. So Mark decided to donate, even though it put his whole football career in jeopardy. Now they’ve both fully recovered. And they met for the first time last Friday, when Rusty showed up to one of his practices.

Due to icy conditions yesterday, a plane that landed at the O’Hare International Airport in Chicago slid off the runway. None of the 38 passengers or 3 crew members were hurt.

This happened last month in Texas, but the video is making the rounds now. A teenage girl somehow got stuck in her seat belt . . . so police and firefighters were called in to help. They try to wiggle her out several ways, and even consider cutting the belt. They finally get her into a position where they can lift her out of it.
