A Little Bit of Awesome: 3/25/2021 Edition

Evelyn Shaw just got some awesome news from her doctor. Evelyn, who is 81, has had an emotional year. Like a lot of grandparents, she hasn’t been able to see her granddaughter since last year. Well, Evelyn just got her second Covid-19 vaccination shot, and her doctor gave her a new prescription.
To hug her granddaughter.
That’s pretty awesome.

Steven Nava is awesome. Steven found out that a former substitute teacher, 77 year old Jose Villarruel, or “Mr. V”, had been living in his car since he retired, due to the pandemic.
So Steven did something about it. Steven was able to raise $27,000, and gifted it to Mr. V on his 77th birthday.
Steven said that Mr. V helped him as a kid, so he just wanted to return the favor.
That’s awesome.

When kids are doing distance learning, it sometimes means the whole family knows what’s going on. Like when this kid from Arizona was doing his virtual P.E. Class, his 102-year-old great-grandmother joined in on the fun.
That’s pretty awesome.
