A Little Bit of Awesome: 3/29/18 Edition

Star Wars: The Last Jedi is out on Blu-Ray, but if you haven’t picked it up yet, here’s a little bit of awesome from the bonus features. Carrie Fisher slapping Oscar Isaac Over 40 Times! Look, you have to do it until you get it right. She’s a Princess and General after all.

Pardon the pun, but this kid went to great heights to get a date to prom. He’s a high school senior and licensed pilot from Tennessee and he decided to take his girlfriend flying to ask her to prom. Technically his friends were holding a sign asking for him, but still. Pretty awesome. And yes, she said yes.

This is one of the most awesome things going right now. There’s a website called DonorsChoose... they’re an educational crowdfunding website. Teachers from all over create campaigns to raise money for educational resources such as books, school supplies, and field trips. It’s a pretty cool deal.

In walks Cryptocurrency startup Ripple. You don’t have to understand what Cryptocurrency is to understand how awesome what they did really is. Ripple just donated $29 million dollars and in one move funded all 35,000 classroom projects on the site.

That’s pretty awesome if you ask me.

Giants pitcher Derek Holland uncorked one of the best interviews from a dugout ever when he did the whole interview in the voice of Kermit. Now that’s awesome.
