A Little Bit of Awesome: 4/20/18 Edition

I’ve been a fan of Prince from day one. Dude was a musical genius. And now we get his original version of Nothing Compares 2 U. Not only do we get his version, we get some amazing previously unseen rehearsal footage of Prince & The Revolution from the summer of 1984.

Face it. You love IKEA furniture… but you hate putting it together. Well maybe science can help. Here’s a couple of robots (or is it just one robot? I don’t know robot anatomy very well.) assembling IKEA furniture. Now, if they’ll just deliver it to my door, I think we’re set.

We talked about it in The Scoop today, but Patrick Warburton got into full on Devil face at the New Jersey Devils hockey game yesterday. He was super into it. Like take his shirt off into it.

There’s just something awesome about this the show Hot Ones on YouTube. I dig it. Celebrities come on, and try to answer questions while eating hot wings. And these things get hot. This time around it’s Tyra Banks and it’s one of the most awesome episodes I’ve seen so far. There’s something satisfying about seeing celebs reduced to tears because of spicy food. I think it makes us realize they aren’t so different from us.

It was 50 years ago when Stanley Kubrick gave us the iconic 2001: A Space Odyssey. Well, it’s coming back to select theaters on May 18th. A new 70mm print was struck from new printing elements made from the original camera negative. So this isn’t a “restored” reprint. This is from the original, and it still looks awesome.

If you don’t get to see it on the big screen, it will be coming to Blu-Ray and DVD later this year.
