Jerry and Beverley Lindell live near Minneapolis. They’ve been married 63 years, and Jerry was rehabbing at a nursing home when the virus hit. So he had to stay in quarantine for a while. But late last month, he got released . . . just in time to surprise her by walking through their front door on her 84th birthday. He even had flowers, and their daughter got it on video. Beverley didn’t think she could hug him at first, until he told her they were allowed.
A mom who seems a little stir crazy because of the quarantining has posted video of herself “helping” her son practice his trombone. While he plays in the kitchen she acts like a drummer keeping the beat by opening and closing the microwave door, and then a cabinet door . . . then she pretends to pound her head on the counter, but is actually hitting it with her hand. And she finishes it off with a flourish by banging two frying pans together.
A community in Florida used sidewalk chalk to create a life-sized Candy Land game for kids to play when they go on walks. One of the women who organized it says there’s also a free gift at the end.
