One of the best things about Role Playing Games is the opportunity to immerse yourself in a character.  However, it can be difficult to suss out the subtleties of your Gnomish Druid when in the background all you can hear is canned laughter from the latest re-run of America’s Funniest Videos.  Well, luckily for Role Players the world over there’s Ben Loomes and Syrinscape.  Ben is the audio genius behind the Syrinscape app that provides truly immersive audio imagery that brings a level of Hollywood to your tabletop games.

I had the chance to talk with Ben at GenCon about Syrinscape, the idea behind it, the process of putting it all together, and even a very cool GenCon project that he was working on during the convention.
