Comic Con Recap: Defiance

I’ve never shied away from the fact that I have a pretty big geek streak running through me.  I like comic books, superheroes, horror books and movies, video games, pulp, steam punk and most things sci-fi.  So when I had the chance to talk with the cast of Defiance at the San Diego Comic Con, I jumped at the opportunity.  I mean come on.  It’s a Sci-Fi TV show and a video game, all at once.  It’s not a show that was converted into a game, and it’s not a game that was converted into a show.  It was planned to be both at the same time.  Genius!

So let’s get to it.  Grant Bowler, Nolan, is the guy who stand for law an order in the world of Defiance.

Grant Bowler

Grant talks about playing the game Defiance while actually being in the show and the game as well as what he’s looking forward to next season, and even his secret desire to be a superhero.

Next up, the lovely and talented Jaime Murray, Stahma Tarr.

Jaime Murray

She looks a wee bit different not covered in her pale Castithian make up.  Jaime talks about the deeper parts of her character, the difficulty of playing an alien, and how I might be one of her “People” now… Hmmm.

Next up, Tony Curran, Datak Tarr.

Tony Curran

Tony talks about being at Comic Con, his favorite comics, the rather rough way the season ended for his character, and more.  Plus at around the 3:45 mark, he gives some scoop on being in the next Thor movie.

All in all, the cast of Defiance were some of the coolest people you’d ever want to meet.  Super cool, way genuine, and completely excited about their jobs.  You should absolutely check it out.
