Eat This! Ep 001: Doughnut Sammich

Call me biased, but I think the first Episode of Eat This! was a rousing success.

Last week, Ryan and I challenged you to send us ideas for a new doughnut based sandwich. All we asked was you use a doughnut as the bun, the rest was up to you. You could even pick the type of doughnut. And you guys came through like gangbusters. But when the smoke cleared, we had to pick one, so we picked two.

First up was from Tanya. We called it the Fritter Fritter. An apple fritter, cut in half with a pork fritter and cole slaw in the middle. This was crazy good. The sweetness of the apple fritter with the meaty goodness of the pork fritter complimented by the creamy/crunchy goodness of the cole slaw. This is a winner.

Next, we went with Troy’s very simple, but very good chocolate doughnut, cut in half and filled with peanut butter and bananas. Two words: stupid good.

Thanks for playing, we’ll give your next challenge tomorrow which you will find right HERE.
