The Scoop! For April 12, 2021

It looks like Justin Timberlake is stretching his acting chops. Justin is set to play “Gong Show” host Chuck Barris in a series for Apple TV+.
I’m kind of stoked, because this show is going to also deal with Chuck Barris, CIA Assassin.
Seriously. Chuck Barris claimed he was a CIA Assassin. I mean if Elvis can work for the CIA, why not Chuck Barris? I like to think that Gene Gene the Dancin’ Machine was the real killer though.

If Willie Nelson gets his way, you can look forward to a 10 day National Holiday. Willie wrote a letter to President Biden, asking that the High Holidays be an official National Holiday. The High Holidays run from 4/20 through Willie’s birthday on 4/29, and yes, it celebrates cannabis.
I say bring it on. A built in excuse to eat Dorrito’s and Taco Bell for 10 days? Sign me up.

So if you’re a Tom Cruise fan, it looks like you’re going to have to wait for his latest projects. Paramount says they are pushing back the release of “Mission: Impossible 7” and “Top Gun: Maverick”.
First, I didn’t realize there have been six Mission: Impossible’s so far. And, I know this isn’t going to be super popular, but they can keep Top Gun: Maverick on the shelf. Without Iceman, what’s the point?
