The Scoop for April 8, 2019

Last night on American Idol, one of the contestants, Kate, got to sing Heartbreaker with Pat Benatar herself. Pretty sweet right? But Kate had a bit of a confession to make. The only way she knew about Pat Benatar and her song was because of the Guitar Hero video game. And they say video games are bad for kids. Are you kidding me? That’s raising kids right that’s what that is. Thanks Guitar Hero.

Thanks to a new book about The View, we’re finding out just how volitile things were behind the scenes of the show. Like when Elizabeth Hasselback had a full on meltdown back stage after getting an on air tongue lashing from Barbara Walters.
Sure, this makes Elizabeth sound shrill and a little bit thin skinned, but come on. Barbara is a flat out beast.

Speaking of beasts, Reba McEntire was pretty savage at the Academy of Country Music Awards last night. She said that it was so cold in Las Vegas recently that it, quote, “Froze us women out of Entertainer of the Year.”
Reba wasn’t thrilled that there were no women nominated for Entertainer of the Year, and she let the ACM’s know about it. She said, quote, “That didn’t bother Kacy Musgrave because she’s been to busy carrying all her Grammy’s around.”
I told you. Reba is a beast. Love it.

Are Jackie Chan and Chris Tucker teasing a “Rush Hour 4”? Yes, I think they are.
