The Scoop for Dec. 18, 2018

We all have those Ah-Ha moments when we realize something. Like when Julia Roberts realized that she had made it when someone recognized her and asked for her autograph…while in the bathroom. Yep. That’s how you know you’ve made it. Bathroom autographs.

Speaking of meeting celebs, even other celebrities get excited when they meet certain stars. Like when Stephen Colbert saw Sandra Bullock at a restaurant. But that wasn’t the first time they had met. Yeah, turns out they had met when Stephen was on the Daily Show. She, unfortunately didn’t remember meeting him. And that’s how dreams are fulfilled and immediately crushed.

Remember Carlton from The Fresh Prince of Bel Air? The nerdy one who had his own dance? The Carlton? Well, he’s now suing the makers of the video games “Fortnite” and “NBA 2K” for stealing his Carlton Dance without his permission. But what exactly is The Carlton Dance? According to Carlton, it’s a combination of Eddie Murphy’s “White Boy Dance” and Courtney Cox’s dance from the Bruce Springsteen Dancing in the Dark music video. Hmm. So you stole your dance from not one but two other people? Interesting.

Bonus Scoopage:
On the most recent episode of the podcast Conan O’Brien Needs a Friend, actor Nick Offerman and wife Megan Mullally delved into their deep love for the long-running CBS reality show Survivor. According to Offerman, he once got close to taking part in a season. Mullally says it was “maybe going to happen” then then Offerman got an acting job.
