The Scoop for Dec. 20, 2018

Steve Carell wasn’t always an actor. Nope, he used to be a mail man. So did you get to drive one of those cool mail trucks with the steering wheel on the other side? Turns out, no. He had to drive his Toyota. It had a bench seat up front and he would sit in the passenger seat and just stretch his leg to the other side so he could use the gas peddal. That seems a bit, I don’t know, unsafe and illegal. But, how cool would it be to tell people that Steve Carell once brought your Jelly of the Month Club to your house.

Disney has been going back and making live action versions of some of their modern classics. And I think people pretty much like them. But, yesterday, the internet freaked out over pictures of Will Smith as the Genie in the new Aladdin movie because, he wasn’t blue. Just FYI, Genie will be blue for most of the movie. That was a pic of Genie in his human disguise. But here’s an idea. If you’re so concerned that Genie might not be blue for the entire movie, maybe pull out your VHS copy and watch that again. Because I’m guessin if that one picture upset you, you totally have a VHS copy and a VHS player. Just a hunch.

Remember Paris Hilton? She was on that reality show back in the day and is famous for being famous basically. Any way, even though Paris broke off her engagement, she’s keeping the $2 million ring. Yep. But she says that’s fine because, quote, “The person who we got it from got millions and millions of dollars of free publicity.”
Wait. Someone gave you a $2 Million dollar ring? How can I get that kind of deal?
