The Scoop for Feb. 10, 2020

While he wasn’t even nominated for an Oscar, Adam Sandler won the Best Male Lead at the Spirit awards, and quite frankly, his acceptance speech is Oscar worthy.
Seriously, that may be his best performance ever.

Speaking of the Oscars, which I did not watch, I guess the movie “Parasite” was one of the big winners last night. But director director Bong Joon Ho may have had the best acceptance speech ever.
“Thank you, and, I’m ready to drink.”
I haven’t seen his movie Parasite, but now I kind of want to see it.

I’m sure you’ve heard, but some people out there had an issue with the Super Bowl halftime show featuring Jennifer Lopez. Apparently it was, quote, ‘too sexy’ for some folks. So what does J-Lo think about this whole thing?
“It’s just silliness.”
She’s not wrong. Look, no one is making you watch the halftime show. Heck, no one is making you watch the Super Bowl. And I’m sorry if you don’t know who J-Lo is or can’t appreciate a 50 year old woman performing like someone half her age, but that’s on you. I’m sure you can find some Golden Girl reruns somewhere.

Bill Murray plays by his own rules.
