The Scoop for Feb. 28, 2019

So after their steamy performance at the Oscars, the internet was convinced that Lady Gaga and Bradley Cooper were a couple because they looked like they were really connected, and dare we say it, in love. And according to Gaga, we did see some sparks. But that’s because, quote, “Guess what? That’s what we wanted you to see.”
But you guys are totally a thing right? Again, quoting Gaga, “No.”
Well of course she’s going to say that. But we know what we saw. They’re totally a couple.

So after patiently waiting for 19 years, they’re finally ready to pull the trigger.
Yep. “Beverly Hills 90210” is getting a reboot of sorts this summer. And if you’re excited about this, I’d hold up. Because while most of the original cast will be there, they will be playing themselves in real life, trying to get a “90210” revival off the ground. That just sounds awful.

Actor, comedian, and germ-a-phobe Howie Mandel recently shared a story that gives us some insight into why he’s such a germ-a-phobe. Long story short, when Howie was a kid a guy dropped what Howie thought was candy. But it wasn’t. It was poo. So yeah. Instead of chocolate in his hand, Howie had something far worse. That’s just… nope. I mean, did Howie think people just drop random, unwrapped chocolates everywhere? Just reading about this has made me a germ-a-phobe.

Bonus Scoopage:
One of your favorite Goodfellas is heading back to the family. Ray Liotta is joining the Sopranos prequel movie The Many Saints of Newark. There’s no word on who Liotta is playing, but there’s a full-circle element to this casting. Back when The Sopranos was still in development, Liotta was considered to play the lead of Tony Soprano. The actor turned the part down because he wanted to focus on films. The role eventually went to James Gandolfini, and the rest is TV history. But seriously, if Ray isn’t mobbed up in this movie, they may as well scrap the whole thing.
