The Scoop for Jan. 10, 2019

Remember when Lindsay Lohan busted out her weird made up accent?
Well there were reasons. Very Lindsay reasons.
“When you’re an actress, you have to pick up different dialects. I can pick up very quickly. You just adapt to the culture that you’re in.”
Ok. Sure. That’s an acting skill. But, here’s the thing. You weren’t in a movie. You were just there. Besides, I’ve been to all kinds of places, Japan, Ireland, Germany, and I’ve never once decided to use an accent. Sure, maybe when I was in Tennessee…

So for the firsrt time in over thirty years, the Oscars will go on without a host. Of course this is because Kevin Hart, who was going to host, backed out after some old homophobic comments he made on Twitter were brought up. So what does Kevin have to say about this whole controversy?
“I’m done with it. It gets no more energy from me.”
Kevin. If you want people to stop talking about this, I don’t think this is the way to do it.

The breakout star from the Golden Globe Awards was the Fiji Water Girl. She managed to photobomb a ton of celebrity pictures. And everybody loves it. Well almost everybody. Jamie Lee Curtis was not a big fan. She says that, quote, ” sponsors of events need to get permission from people when they get them to take their picture next to products.” I mean I get where she’s coming from, but come on Jamie. You have to admit, it was pretty fun. Maybe Jamie would change her tune if Fuji cut her a check. Just a thought.

Bonus Scoopage:
Prepare to rock while watching Bohemian Rhapsody, because it’s getting sing-along screenings at more than 750 North American locations beginning on Friday. The sing-along version will display song lyrics on screen, allowing viewers to perform the movie’s score. The tracks include Queen’s We Will Rock You, We Are the Champions, Crazy Little Thing Called Love, Another One Bites the Dust, and the title song. Like you weren’t singing along anyway.
