The Scoop for Jan. 17, 2018

Presidential genes; the return of Ron Burgundy… sort of; Jane and Lilly are besties…sort of; and Matt Damon has some advice for, well, everyone…

Bonus Scoopage:

Skittles has cooked up what might be described as the first ultra-exclusive Super Bowl commercial — or else as a clever PR stunt costing far less than a real Super Bowl buy. The commercial, complete with a soon-to-be-revealed celebrity, is being screened for only one person: Marcos Menendez, a teenager from Los Angeles. The gimmick has multiple teasers but no TV ads during the Super Bowl. Four teasers are rolling out out in the next 10 days or so — teasers for a Super Bowl ad that only Marcos Menendez will see. Menendez was chosen because he’s a real Skittles fan. The 17-year-old is set to see the secret commercial during the Super Bowl, while fans can watch a stream of Menendez’s reaction to it on Facebook. Weird, but I like it.
