The Scoop for Jun 12, 2019

Jon Stewart has been trying to get health care for 9/11 responders for years. The fund to help them expires next year, so Jon went to Congress to try and convince them to support a law to fund it permanently. The problem was, most members of Congress didn’t bother showing up.
“You should be ashamed of yourselves, those that aren’t here, but you won’t be. Because accountability doesn’t appear to be something that occours in this chamber.”
Remember, these are the same people who said we whould never forget these heroes. I guess they just forgot to show up

How does a Mike Tyson Marijuana themed resort sound?
Well the Tyson Ranch is happening. You can learn about and smoke weed, camp, see concerts, and float on the world’s longest lazy river.

90’s nostalgia is huge right now, which is why you’re seeing all these reboots and reunion shows. Which is why Jeremy Miller says they’re woking on a Growing Pains revival. Who is Jeremy Miller? He played Ben Seaver. I know, I barely remember him too, which is why he’s so gung ho about this revival.
I guess the Growing Pains Fan Conventions aren’t quite payin’ the bills these days.
(PS: I have no idea if there is such a thing as a Growing Pains Fan Convention, but now that I’ve made fun of it, I kind of wish it were real.)
