The Scoop for June 19, 2019

When it comes to crazy action, golf isn’t the first sport you normally think of. But Phil Mickelson told a story about how an official started cutting a new hole on the green before his group was done with the hole. That’s a big golf no-no. So what was the reason?
“Someone took a dump in the cup.”
Gives “hole in one” a completely different meaning.

Guns N Roses fans were super excited about Slash and Axl getting the band back together. And you know who you can thank for that? Andrew “Dice” Clay. Well, according to Dice, any way. Dice claims he talked to both Slash and Axl and set them both straight. He apparently talked to Axl while they were both performing in Vegas.
So maybe he is responsible for their reunion. I think what’s more surprising is that Dice is still working in Vegas. I had no idea.

Paul Shaffer has had quite the career from being on SNL to leading the World’s Most Dangerous band for David Letterman. But his biggest regret was not being able to do the Blues Brothers movie with John Belushi due to a scheduling conflict. And John didn’t take it very well. John put out a statement saying that Shaffer isn’t a Blues Brother and never would be. I mean, Paul did just fine for himself in spite of that, but that one has to sting.
