The Scoop for March, 17, 2020

Women everywhere felt a disturbance in the force yesterday, because Idris Elba announced that he’s tested positive for coronavirus.
I know. Not great. But here’s the thing we can learn from Idris.
He’s not showing symptoms.

A bunch of celebs are taking to social media to read kids books to help entertain all those kids that can’t go to school.
Jennifer Garner actually puts some effort into her reading of The Mitten. So yeah, if you’ve got kids at home, and can’t bring yourself to read Charlie The Best Big Brother Ever for the 1,245th time, let a celeb do it for you.

93-year-old Mel Brooks and his son Max want you to know why social distancing is important.
Max explained that he’s keeping his distance from his dad, in order to avoid wiping out “a whole generation of comedic legends.”
You know, dialing up a Mel Brooks movie wouldn’t be a bad way to spend some of your self isolation time. Just sayin’.

BONUS SCOOPAGE:
