The Scoop for March 26, 2021

I think Zach Galifianakis is great. But not everyone has always agreed with me. Like, back in the day, Zach had a two-week trial as a writer for “Saturday Night Live”, and it didn’t go well.
So what didn’t they like about Zach’s ideas?
Zach pitched an idea where Will Ferrell would play a security guard in Britney Spears’ belly button.
They passed on that? Have you seen some of the stuff that they said ok to? Especially in the last 20 minutes? I would totally watch that.

Speaking of Saturday Night Live, remember when Melissa McCarthy played Press Secretary Sean Spicer?
Well, Melissa was a little hessitant to play Spicey because she thought it would take too long to get her into makeup to look like him. Turns out, that wasn’t the case.
Oops.
Well, it LOOKED like it took longer so there’s that.

Denzel Washington made a couples day this week when he crashed their wedding photos.
That’s got to be a good sign, right? I mean, not only is Denzel awesome, he and his wife have been married for 37 years, so that mojo has to rub off a little bit, right? I mean, would you rather run into Denzel on your wedding day? Or Billy Bob Thorton? Dudes been married five times.
