The Scoop for Nov. 6, 2018

We have a new Sexiest Man Alive thanks to People Magazine, and it’s Idris Elba. Yep, and he says that, quote, “Mom will be very proud.”
So is your dad not going to be proud too? Why do people do that? Every time they win some game or honor or some such, it’s always, “I want to thank my Mom!”? What about Dad? You’re telling me he had nothing to do with this?

President Trump made this odd comment about Kentucky recently. “I like Kentucky, for all the wrong reasons.”
What are those reasons exactly? And, follow up question, what are the “right” reasons to like Kentucky?

Pamela Anderson has an interesting take on the #MeToo movement. She thinks it can go a bit too far. She thinks some of the things women are talking about could be avoided by using common sense. She says, “My mother taught me don’t go to a hotel with a stranger.” Makes sense right? But then she takes this odd left turn. Quote, “Or, if you go in, get the job.”
Um. I get the feeling that Pamela doesn’t understand how an actual job interview happens.

So the worst kept secret in music was made official yesterday. The Spice Girls are going a UK reunion tour. Ok. so not a huge shock. It is dissappointing that it’s only in the UK, but I’m guessing that if this goes well, there’s probably going to be more on the way.

Bonus Scoopage:
If there aren’t enough reboots on your device, here’s a reminder of what’s coming (and it’s not even a comprehensive list): Party of Five; The Jetsons; ALF; Miami Vice; Rugrats; The Munsters; Psych; Deadwood; Buffy the Vampire Slayer.
