The Scoop for Nov. 9, 2018

Remember when Snoop Dogg was this big scary rapper who was going to corrupt the youth of America with his pot smoking ways? And now he’s doing cooking shows with Martha Stewart. But, to show you he hasn’t lost his edge, he got high at the White House this week. Of course, he’s not actually in the White House. He’s across the street from the White House in a park. And pot is legal in DC, so yeah, super edgy Snoop.

There’s a new celebrity couple that isn’t all that new. John Mellencamp is engaged to Meg Ryan. If that sounds familiar, it should. they dated for about four years, but then John was with Christie Brinkley, but they broke up, so John and Meg got back together last year and now they’re getting hitched. Is it me, or does the older John gets, the bigger his head gets. Like physically. Don’t get me wrong, I’m nothing to look at, but it’s like his head has grown three sizes, just like the Grinch’s heart on the day he discovered the meaning of Christmas. Just sayin’.

It feels like it’s been ages since we’ve heard anything about the new Top Gun movie. Well according to a British Tabloid, you can thank Tom Cruise for that.
Apparently Tom is learning how to fly a fighter jet because he wants to do some of the flying himself. So I guess we’ll have to wait. Is it really that big a deal to anyone but Tom? Really? Just go out there, do your acting thing, and give us Top Gun 2.

Bonus Scoopage:
The Marvel Cinematic Universe is expanding again. According to Variety, Marvel’s parent company Disney is planning to add a number of limited series to its new streaming service. The series will focus on MCU characters who haven’t gotten their own standalone films. Variety specifically named Scarlet Witch (Elizabeth Olsen) and Loki (Tom Hiddleston) as potential centers for the new series. The Disney streaming service is expected to launch in 2019.
